Clima, politica, cultura e società. Tutto si manifesta nel paesaggio, e tutto, per chi sa guardare, è lì pronto per essere interpretato, esplorato, compreso. L’unico nemico, se vogliamo, sono il tempo e la noia, che ci corrodono inesorabilmente, più forti di noi. “Good Morning, America” di Mark Power (fotografo MAGNUM) è, in questo senso, uno di quei lavori che si inserisce perfettamente in questo quadro: un racconto completo, ma non conclusivo, di ciò che è il paesaggio urbano americano, dalle lande remote del North Dakota fino al punto più estremo opposto.

Climate, politics, culture, and society. Everything is reflected in the landscape, and for those who know how to look, everything is there, ready to be interpreted, explored, understood. The only enemy, if we must name one, is time and boredom, which wear us down inexorably, stronger than we are. “Good Morning, America” by Mark Power (MAGNUM photographer) is, in this sense, one of those works that fits perfectly into this framework: a complete, yet open-ended narrative of the American urban landscape, stretching from the remote lands of North Dakota to the farthest opposite extreme.
