TRIPTYCH CALL
The purpose of this CALL is to seek photographers capable of telling a story—three interwoven images, three iconic moments, three meaningful attributes—linked to an object as to an emotion; to a time or a moment; to an ideal or a dream.
Above all, the images must represent the theme of the Festival:
“CROSSING HUMAN LANDSCAPES.”
1. PROMOTING ENTITY
The promoter of the competition is SATOR APS, a Social Promotion Association and the organizer of NARNIMMAGINARIA.
2. THE THEME: “CROSSING HUMAN LANDSCAPES”
Human beings exert such a strong influence on landscapes—whether inner or outer—that they become, directly or indirectly, the main actor in their image, living within them and transforming them according to their needs.
Can we perhaps say that humankind is the landscape? Certainly, we inhabit it in a dynamic relationship with everything that surrounds us and with the experiences we live. Certainly, we are part of it.
To investigate humans who live and transform—and who, as protagonists, inhabit or transform landscapes—means following the footprints they leave in their places, where the dreams of those who imagined them are deposited and brought to life.
3. PARTICIPATION
Participation is open to all photographers, without restrictions of age, origin, or nationality.
Each author is free to choose the photographic language they consider most appropriate to narrate the human landscape.
The selected works will be exhibited in public venues (bars, restaurants, and other businesses) in the Historic Center from October 18 to November 2, 2025.
Submitted works may consist of either three photographs or a single panel containing them.
For selection purposes, the images must be submitted as .JPEG files with the following specifications:
long side: 1024 pixels
resolution: minimum 72 dpi
maximum size: 2 MB per file
color or black & white accepted
Submissions must also include:
a short biography outlining the author’s background and experience
the title of the work
a description (.pdf format)
The images must be sent in digital format, collected into a single compressed ZIP folder.
The naming format must be as follows:
TR_NAME_SURNAME_XX.jpg (where XX is the sequential number from 01 to 03).
4. SUBMISSION DEADLINE
All materials must be submitted no later than September 14, 2025, at 24:00.
Selected authors will be notified by September 22, 2025, in order to allow sufficient time for printing.
By September 29, 2025, the pairing of venue–author will be communicated, so that authors can get in touch with the managers of the exhibition space and prepare the display in the best possible way.
If the author requests that SATOR handle the exhibition setup, the printed photos must be delivered to the SATOR Association—sized appropriately, complete with frames, or printed on a single panel or contained within a single frame, and in any case ready to be displayed and hung—no later than October 9, 2025.
If the selected author chooses to set up the exhibition independently within the space assigned to them, this must be completed by the morning of October 18, 2025.
5. NOTES
If the Association is requested to handle the exhibition setup, this request must be made no later than October 9, 2025. For this service, an advance contribution of €35.00 will be required.
This fee includes: setup, dismantling, and return of the photographs to the sender by shipping.
Payment may be made using the same methods as for the registration fee.
The venues designated for the exhibitions under this CALL are, in most cases, not galleries or traditional exhibition spaces. Authors must be aware that their works will be displayed in unconventional contexts such as shops, restaurants, bars, and other commercial establishments.
DISMANTLING – Authors must remove the exhibited works no later than November 10, 2025, unless other arrangements are made with the owner/manager of the venue and the organization. In all cases, such arrangements must be communicated to the organization by email for acknowledgment, no later than the same date.
If the author chooses to set up the exhibition independently, the material must be shipped to the following address:
Associazione Culturale SATOR
Strada dei Pini, 8
05035 NARNI (TR)
The organization assumes no responsibility for any damage to or theft of works within the venues.
Selected authors will be required to sign a release form for the exhibitions.
6. REGISTRATION FEE
A registration fee of €10 is required for each triptych submitted.
Payment must be made using one of the following methods:
